Today we were blessed with unbelievably beautiful weather! So I started my day off by going to the pool to swim some laps and dry off in the beautiful sun of South Florida!
I did not want to let this day pass without making mention of what this day is really about. I hope we all take some time out while we tend to barbecuing activities and crafting to take time to send out a prayer to those who have defended our country in the past, and those who are currently serving. Thank you to our military families out there!
Today I am charged with working on cards for some upcoming baby related defense. For some reason, all of these babies are expected to be boys! So, without further ado, here are some of my creations. Hope you enjoy them!
Just checking in! Just to let you know that I am on the right track with my weight loss journey and exercise routine.
What seems to be working for me, is that I’m not calling this a diet. diets never worked for me. I’m not really good with somebody telling me I can’t have something. When somebody tells me this is off-limits, that’s exactly what I crave! So diets are a no-no.
So for the record, I’m just watching what I eat.
Now for the good news. I have logged 16 miles on my treadmill since Saturday. That translates into five hours of scrapbooking over the Memorial Day long weekend I have earned.
And the very best part of this whole idea, is that I have made new friends and have motivated kindred spirits in craftiness to get on board with me!
See? All we needed was the right motivation! Who wouldn’t get on the treadmill for new criicut cartridge?
Even for those of you lucky people who don’t need to lose weight, walking is good for you! And it is a wonderful time to get your creative juices flowing and think about your next project! So let’s get moving girls!!!
Here is my second motivating factor. I hope to go to Key West or Marco Island in September. Two of myfavorite places to vacation on the beach. So I am getting ready to be able to wear a nice bathing suit this year!
Okay ladies! I’m going to be very candid here. I stepped on the scale today, and I was not very happy. I hope you all can relate. Scrapbooking has consumed my life. To the point where I eat breathe and sleep Scrapbooking and Papercrafts.
I was doing very well on my diet,and had actually lost a considerable amount of weight. And then I started my scrapbooking business. And I started promoting. And I started using Pinterest and LinkedIn. And I neglected my workouts, I neglected my housekeeping, I neglected everything!
So now I’m having a day of reckoning. I realize that if I put all of this positive energy into my workouts and the rest of my life, I might just lose this weight again.
So I’m going to be introduced myself to my Pexercise and my Peadmill.
And since Scrapbooking seems to be my highest motivation, I’m going to use that as positive momentum to reach my weight goals. Every time I lose 10 pounds, I will buy myself a cricut cartridge. Or something else really cool on my WishList.
So can I get an amen sister’s? Anyone with me? I’m going to track my progress on this blog, along with my usual entries, to hold myself accountable. So Tata for now! I’m going to work out! (pumping fists on the air: cue the theme from Rocky)
Usually I am a scrapbooker Love doing layouts! Love making albums and altered art! I rarely have time to sit down and make cards!!
Although I know practicality should preside, and I should make cards when I have my scrapbooking things out on the table already! But I always forget, or I run out of time.
But I promised myself that I would force myself to try making more cars this year! And what I have discovered is that I really love it! and the bonus benefit, is that I use a lot more of my materials! Like my stamps and ink for instance!
